Whenever you have a joyous feeling, mentally share it with others.
You can do this simply, with a wish. It’s fine to begin with those you care for.
For example, you might say to yourself, I feel so happy right now, looking at this sunset, I wish to share this feeling with my parents and children.
Whatever words you use are fine; the important thing is to feel appreciation in the depth of your heart and then share it with others.
When you get comfortable sharing positive feelings with people you love, you can extend sharing further: I feel so happy right now, I wish to share this feeling with my parents, my children, my friends; with everyone I know.
And then further: I wish so share with all beings who live in my city. And then—why not?—you can continue on and on: with those who live in my country, in the world, in the past, the present, and the future, until you share your happiness with all beings, in all times, everywhere.
