As society grows more complicated, more and more people feel that they lack the inner and outer resources to cope with life. There is a tendency for individuals to rely on others, or to give up when faced with external difficulties.
Creative powers seem to be somehow blocked.
Instead of cultivating their own power to deal with the difficulties they encounter, many individuals sink into hopelessness. Caught in a downward spiral, they lose the ability to develop qualities of caring, responsibility, and awareness.
Spiritual practice counteracts these tendencies, teaching us that we have within ourselves the energy and capability to meet our physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
If we could realize the truth of this insight and find ways to communicate it to others as well, what a benefit there would be for all of society?
