Bio: Michael Goldhaber
After receiving his doctorate in theoretical physics during the Vietnam war, Michael Goldhaber became increasingly concerned about the way physicists were being co-opted into war work. That led him to be increasingly interested in how technology affected society. Around 1980, he began a project he called “The Human Meaning of the Information Revolution.”
That led him to develop a theory of the economics of attention, which by the mid -90’s he recognized as the natural economy of the Internet. He is now still writing on this and other subjects, and otherwise retired in Berkeley, California where he lives with his wife Karen Weinstein and their dog Charlie.

Donations for the QCSE interviews are appreciated. Proceeds are dedicated to the works of Tarthang Tulku and his activities to benefit all sentient beings.
